Truss Assembler

Job Title: Truss Assembler Pay: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1st Shift Location: Gibsonton, FL Job Summary The Truss Assembler will assist the table leader in assembling roof and floor trusses by performing repetitive tasks on an assembly line according to work orders. This includes placing materials, fastening components, adjusting parts, and using hand and pneumatic tools to ensure accurate production. Key Responsibilities Follow instructions from the Table Leader during the truss assembly process. Operate staple guns and use an automatic press (pressure roll) to secure connector plates and lumber. Read a tape measure and position materials per specifications. Inspect materials and completed trusses for defects or misalignment. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. Assist with moving and organizing lumber and materials. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Basic math and measurement skills. Team-oriented with strong work ethic. Construction, carpentry, roofing, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferred. Job Requirements Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to work in hot, noisy, dusty, and outdoor environments with moving equipment. Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods on concrete floors. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; occasionally move heavier materials with assistance. Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching. Continuous use of hand and pneumatic tools.
