Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Parts Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our commercial business. This full-time position focuses on customer retention and growth, requiring a professional level of sales acumen. You will partner with the General Manager (GM) to manage team members, utilizing your expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts sourcing. Your efforts will directly contribute to the profitable growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers. Deliver an exceptional selling experience to our commercial clients. Meet personal and store sales goals while achieving service objectives. Provide daily supervisory support to team members. Collaborate with GM to identify and address team coaching and development needs. Oversee driver dispatch to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Manage commercial stocking programs efficiently. Establish and maintain a robust network of second-source suppliers. Additional Responsibilities: Maintain core parts bank and manage commercial returns. Track and oversee commercial credit accounts. Work with GM to ensure optimal driver coverage. Success Factors: Exemplary communication skills with an emphasis on friendly interaction. Proficient in locating and managing parts inventory. Strong knowledge of safety protocols and skills. Expertise in using inventory systems and store equipment. Deep understanding of parts and automotive systems. Proficient with POS and parts lookup systems. Possess or be working towards ASE P2 certification or equivalent. Advanced skills in selling to commercial customers. Ability to multi-task while remaining organized. Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills. Essential Skills: Working knowledge of automotive systems, including engines, suspension, brakes, and electronics. Effective English communication skills; Spanish is a plus. Aptitude to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals. Ability to execute instructions in various formats. Competency in basic math and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel). Strong organizational skills and understanding of commercial profitability. Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends. Experience Required: A minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts is preferred. Demonstrated sales success in fulfilling customer transactions. Leadership experience, whether formal or informal, in guiding teams toward achieving goals. Education: High school diploma or GED is required. Certifications: ASE certification is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Demands: The role primarily involves walking or standing. Regular lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds, will be required. Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color awareness, and depth perception. Work Environment: Typically, this position is conducted indoors, but you will occasionally work outdoors under varying weather conditions. Exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise at moderate levels is expected. The position is eligible for sales commissions based on individual or store performance. Compensation Range: The expected pay range for this role is between $19.95 and $21.95 per hour, depending on experience, geographic location, educational background, and other applicable skills.
