Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Manager is responsible for leading all manufacturing and maintenance operations across a two-shift, AS9100-certified facility located in Niagara Falls, NY. This includes machining, welding, braze furnaces, machine operation, and assembly activities. This position reports to the Plant Manager and provides direct leadership to Production Supervisors and Maintenance personnel, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all production processes. The Production Manager helps implement and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process and supports both quality and operational improvement initiatives to achieve organizational goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. BENEFITS: • Competitive salary based on experience ($130,000-$150,000 annually) • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Paid Time Off and Holidays ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Lead and develop Production Supervisors and Maintenance personnel across both shifts to ensure consistent performance and alignment with company objectives. • Oversee all daily production operations including but machining, welding, brazing, assembly, and related processes to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance. • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements. • Plan and manage production schedules, staffing, and resource allocation to meet customer and operational needs. • Help implement and maintain quality control standards throughout the production process in compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements. • Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions. • Oversee Maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, uptime, and timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules. • Support capital improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and facility enhancements. • Monitor and analyze key production metrics such as OEE, throughput, scrap, and downtime, implementing corrective actions as needed. • Support quality and operational improvement activities focused on waste reduction, process optimization, and productivity gains. • Lead and participate in Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. • Coordinate communication between shifts and departments to maintain alignment on production priorities and performance goals. • Ensure full compliance with AS9100 standards, company policies, and customer specifications. • Support and participate in internal and external quality audits. • All other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to manage multi-shift operations. • Excellent understanding of machining, welding, brazing, and assembly processes. • Working knowledge of AS9100 and quality management systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and process documentation. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Proficient in ERP/MRP/CMMS systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent). • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement tools. • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decisions. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's degree with experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Operations Management. • Minimum of 7 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. • Experience in a precision manufacturing or aerospace environment preferred. • Proven success managing both production and maintenance teams in a multi-shift operation. • Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems, equipment reliability, and process control. • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
