You will bridge the gap between complex logistics sales and financial accuracy, ensuring our pricing translates seamlessly from a handshake to an invoice. Reporting to the Manager of Rate Administration, you will join a high-energy team where best-in-class is our daily standard. Responsibilities: Configure Rating Modules: Use your understanding of freight execution and service offerings to decide exactly how rates should be structured within our engine for diverse and complex customer profiles. Data Manipulation & Integrity: Perform heavy file preparation and manipulation using the Microsoft Suite (Excel-heavy) to translate customer awards into live pricing. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a central hub between Pricing, Billing, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure seamless communication and execution. Technical Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve "no-rate" errors and billing discrepancies with a sense of urgency, often requiring same-day resolution. Financial Safeguarding: Manage and audit rate implementations to prevent errors that directly impact our financial reporting and bottom line. System Management: Maintain and update rates across both internal Werner systems and external customer portals to ensure alignment with business rules. Implementation: Manage and implement large-scale customer awards based on specific load execution requirements. Communication: Maintain clear, concise documentation of rate modifications and research findings within internal systems. System Optimization: Assist management in the development and enhancement of rating systems to improve efficiency and accuracy. Technical Support: Serve as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding rate administration inquiries and troubleshooting. Reporting: Generate official rate pages to finalize publications for Werner Enterprises. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. Four to five years customer service experience preferred. Two to three years of transportation experience preferred. One to two years AS/400 experience preferred. Strong Excel skill; functions including but not limited to V-look ups, pivot tables, true/false statements, formulas and formatting. Strong typing skills - alphanumeric data entry (Minimum of 4,500kph) Strong communication and decision-making skills, reasoning and problem solving with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize work load, work independently and in a team environment to achieve department goals. Knowledge of transportation industry and terminology usually gained through practical experience and on-the-job training. Knowledge of customer service policies and practices.
