Position Purpose: As an Evening Shift Supervisor, you will develop essential leadership skills while overseeing our team during the shift. Your role is critical in ensuring a smooth operation and preparing you for future growth into the Restaurant Manager position. Placement in the Organization: Reports to a member of the management team and supervises hourly restaurant employees during the shift. Responsibilities/Duties/Activities: Direct and set priorities for crewmembers during their shift, assigning work stations effectively. Coach, counsel, and discipline crew members, taking appropriate disciplinary action when necessary. Maintain positive employee relations through effective supervision and ensure a harassment-free work environment for all staff and guests. Fill in for crewmembers during breaks, providing coverage over work stations as needed. Account for and manage all company funds during the shift, completing safe audits and cash drawer counts. Handle administrative tasks required during assigned shifts. Prepare product orders as necessary to meet demand. Adjust the number of employees on duty based on anticipated sales volume to ensure productivity and guest service standards. Orient and train new crew members while also cross-training existing ones. Ensure proper handling of all food products, maintaining quality and safety standards. Prevent food shortages, waste, and theft while efficiently managing inventory. Report employee issues to appropriate management personnel when necessary. Ensure compliance with cash handling, banking, and security procedures throughout the shift. Ensure that service meets expectations for speed, accuracy, and friendliness, and resolve guest complaints promptly. Check in deliveries and ensure adherence to company standards and procedures during the shift. Experience/Education/Qualifications: At least 18 years old. Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently. Basic math skills are essential. Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required. Meet health and food handling regulations as required by state, county, or municipal law. Basic computer skills are necessary, with an understanding of units of measurement. Must have been rated as Exceeds Requirements on the last performance evaluation. Demonstrated ability to analyze operational situations and implement effective solutions. Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, and cold is expected. Ability to reach heights of approximately 6 feet and bend to touch the floor. High level of mobility and flexibility in the provided workspace. Frequent bending, reaching, and walking required. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers. Comfortable using a computer for various tasks. Able to lift items weighing up to 40 lbs.
