Description - Your Role Unfolded Conduct both routine and advanced laboratory tests-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-following established protocols and procedures. Assess test outcomes for precision, investigate discrepancies, and perform regular preventative maintenance as well as calibration of laboratory equipment. Participate in specimen collection and assist in preparing samples for testing as needed. Keep detailed documentation of all processes, train new staff and students, while maintaining high lab quality standards. Ensure a hygienic, secure work environment, abiding by all regulatory and accreditation standards. Education Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an allied health degree with ASCP/AMT certification preparation. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) required within the first year of employment. Ongoing maintenance of current certification throughout your career. Skills Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for seamless collaboration with healthcare teams.
