The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and expertise in NICU nursing to ensure the highest standard of care for critically ill newborns. This role involves managing nursing services, ensuring compliance with best practices, and aligning departmental objectives with organizational goals. Job specification Candidate requirements Job specification Manage the delivery of nursing services and ensure safe patient care within the NICU department. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and standards aligning with best nursing practices. Supervise, mentor, and support NICU nursing staff to maintain excellence in patient care. Ensure departmental compliance with nursing standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate performance metrics and patient outcomes to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and optimize resource utilization. Manage departmental budgets and operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality care. Candidate requirements Required: Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). At least three (3) years of NICU management, supervisory, or leadership experience. Academic degree in nursing (BSN or MSN required). Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Registered Nurse (RN) License - California. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification. RN Certified in Neonatal Intensive Care (RNC - NIC). Level III NICU experience required. Proven expertise in NICU nursing leadership. Preferred: MSN and National Health/Nursing Administration Certification for CCS-certified or CCS-certification-seeking facilities. Why work with us?
