As a Senior Safety Engineer, responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Perform Safety Analysis - Own the full spectrum of safety-engineering studies. You'll drive MIL-STD-882E and ARP-1761 compliance by delivering high-impact Functional Hazard Analyses (FHA), Preliminary Hazard Analyses (PHA), Operational Hazard Analysis (OHA), Fault-Tree Analyses (FTA), Common-Cause/Mode Analyses (CCA), Particular Risk Analyses (PRA) and comprehensive Safety Assessment Reports (SAR) for both developmental and production efforts. Autonomous Project Delivery - Operate under broad guidance while charting your own technical course. You'll architect solution approaches, build realistic schedules, and orchestrate all activities needed to hit milestones and exceed program objectives. Work to decompose and/or develop contractual safety requirements for vendors and customers alike. Partner with the new business capture team to shape winning bids. You'll help craft and refine proposal inputs, also leveraging Functional Bid metrics, to showcase our technical superiority and secure the next generation of mission-critical work. This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified. Required Skills and Education4 years of experience in Reliability, Maintainability and Safety discipline work (or equivalent) or 2 years of experience with a Master's degree. BS in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related Scientific field. US Citizenship required. Eagerness to take on new challenges and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills and EducationExperience within the Safety Engineering discipline. Familiarity with Integrated Logistics analysis, techniques, and software tools. Knowledge of Reliability Modeling and Analysis in accordance with MIL-HDBK-217, MIL-STD-1629A, MIL-STD-1472G, NAS411, MIL-HDBK-516C and other relevant standards. Experience with Fault Tree Analysis, and technical documentation and report generation. AS9145 Awareness and experience with implementing safety analysis data into a Model-Based Engineering environment. An Electronic Warfare Systems background would be an asset.
