Our client is currently seeking a Travel Registered Nurse IMC Float IMC Float RN - Days - 13 Weeks Start Date: 03/17/2026 Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (3×12) Location: Arlington, VA Position Overview A large hospital system is seeking an experienced Intermediate Care RN for a float position. This role requires strong cardiac, pulmonary, and trauma-focused IMC/Stepdown skills. Travelers must be fully comfortable floating to multiple campuses and units within their scope, including Med-Surg. Only submit candidates who are willing to float. Floating Requirements Travelers must float within skillset to 7 hospitals, including: Voorhees Marlton Mt. Holly Willingboro OLOL Camden Satellite Berlin Satellite Med-Surg floating is required. Requirements Experience Minimum 3 years RN experience (required) PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required Cardiac telemetry experience required Must be able to manage dysrhythmias independently Must be comfortable with rapid response teams Certifications AHA BLS AHA ACLS AHA PALS (unit requires adult & pediatric experience) NIHSS preferred Clinical Skills Required Telemetry monitoring (on-unit) Management & titration of cardiac drips Pre/Post cardiac cath care Central line care PICC line management Heparin protocols Isolation precautions Starting IVs (preferred) Wound care / wound vac (preferred) Peripheral nerve block catheters (preferred) Traumatic brain injury experience (preferred) Unit Overview This Intermediate Care unit focuses on pulmonary, cardiac, and trauma patients, including: Advanced airway management (trachs, vents, high-flow O , BiPAP) Chest tubes, Zephyr valves CHF, MI, unstable angina Pacemaker/ICD issues Post-cath patients Dysrhythmias requiring continuous infusion therapy Med-Surg overflow Scheduling Shift: 7a-7p Weekends: Every other weekend Contract requires 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period Call: None RTO: Must be submitted at time of submission No RTO accepted after submission No RTO allowed during first week Licensure Active VA or Compact RN license must be in hand at submission Dress Code Standard facility-approved scrubs (color provided during onboarding) Vaccine Requirements Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1-Mar 31) Ideal Candidate Strong IMC/Stepdown clinical skills Confident floating across multiple hospitals Excellent communicator Calm under pressure
