PRIMARY FUNCTION Develops mechanical preventive and predictive maintenance procedures and maintenance operating procedures; provides technical support to the plant systems; and follows up maintenance issues and develops corrective maintenance work orders. Performs detailed job planning; works closely with Operations and Engineering to develop and implement equipment modifications to improve the process and equipment reliability. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create, organize, and update Preventative and Predictive Maintenance procedures and Standard Operating Procedures in coordination with the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler for the Continuous Painting Line (CPL). Identifies, develops and enters maintenance work orders into SAP. Carries out technical maintenance inspections and planned work. Is the point of escalation and assists in mechanical troubleshooting on the CPL. Provides technical directions to the shift repair group. Manages and Supervises Contracted work, including performing pre-job safety walks, risk mitigation plans, and the completion of all pertinent forms. Coordinates with the Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to provide detailed job planning including preparation, planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance activities. Provides shift coverage as required. Completes assigned work from the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, Scheduler, and Assistant Planner as required. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Certified Millwright or equivalent training / degree from a technical vocational institution plus five years related experience and/or training in a heavy industrial environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of equipment safety and device applications; Zero Energy Policy and local procedures. Completion of 'Level 3' Mechanical Qualifications with preferred completion of 'Level 4' within 2 years of hire. 'Level 2' Electrical Qualifications are preferred and will greatly contribute to success in this role. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Must possess basic knowledge in processing computer-controlled equipment and plant maintenance knowledge in electricity, electronics, instrumentation, combustion, steam and heat transfer, properties of material and ability to use tools of the trade. Must have leadership skills. Actual base rate of pay will be dependent on an individual's skills, qualifications, and experience. This role is eligible for a targeted monthly bonus, 401k Savings plan, Healthcare (medical, dental and vision), and other generous rewards.
