Education Requirements A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications Required ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) obtained within one year of hire. Ongoing maintenance of certification throughout your employment.
