Position Overview: The Financial Manager plays a crucial role in the success of our Integrated Finance Managed Services (IFMS) engagements. You will work closely with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives and the global delivery service team to proactively address operational challenges, ensuring effective communication regarding performance and risks. This position is integral in various financial functions, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Central and Regional IFMS Delivery Executives to effectively tackle operational challenges and communicate performance metrics and risks. Monitor service delivery health alongside the Service Delivery Executive, preemptively identifying issues and implementing solutions for performance improvements. Support the Commercial Management Office in tracking scope changes and addressing any commercial or contract-related issues. Participate in general accounting activities, including monthly and quarterly closures, preparing journal entries, and conducting variance analyses with client teams. Coordinate with our Technical Accounting Advisory Group to manage technical accounting inquiries from managed services clients. Assist in managing the accounting workstreams for clients' SEC filings to ensure accuracy in quarterly and on-demand deliverables. Provide support in finance-related services, including treasury operations, tracking stock-based compensation, and engaging with client banks and investment managers. Support payroll services through EY's managed services and work with client HR to ensure compliance with employee benefits and tax reporting. Prepare audit schedules and facilitate communication between clients and external auditors during annual and interim audits. Contribute to the development of materials for client Audit Committee and Board meetings, assisting the Regional IFMS Controller with finalization. Support the administration and maintenance of EY's Integrated Finance systems, overseeing reconciliations and reporting from subledgers to the general ledger. Engage in cross-functional initiatives to enhance financial processes and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed by client demands. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business. US CPA licensure in your working state. 5+ years of accounting experience focused on financial reporting and compliance. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and experience in a public company setting. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams. Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial software systems. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours as required. Reliable transportation for commuting to the EY office and client sites is recommended. Preferred Skills: Experience with SAP, Certent, FloQast, Active Disclosure, Concur, or Ariba. Familiarity with SEC filings and audit processes is beneficial. Experience in a clinical stage bioscience or pharmaceutical company is an asset.
