This position is with a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Del Taco LLC. If hired, your employer will be the independent franchisee, who is responsible for employment-related matters including hiring, discipline, and scheduling. Position Summary Join our team as an Assistant Manager to enhance the Del Taco brand, drive sales, and boost the restaurant's efficiency and profitability by collaborating with the General Manager or leading the management team. Essential Job Functions Support the General Manager in building a passionate team that meets and exceeds standards by: Recruiting, hiring, and retaining enthusiastic staff Ensuring employees are always up to date with current training Encouraging an environment of continuous learning Fostering a fun and teamwork-oriented atmosphere Evaluating employee performance and suggesting salary increases Administering disciplinary actions as necessary Mentoring and developing team members Deliver a consistent brand experience by: Executing Del Taco Standards with precision Maintaining a clean and safe environment Ensuring all equipment meets operational and safety standards Delivering quality products consistently Following cleaning schedules Promoting uniform compliance among staff Adhering to service experience guidelines Displaying appropriate signage in designated areas Drive sales growth and customer loyalty by: Assisting in setting and communicating daily and weekly sales goals Ensuring effective staff placement based on projected sales Increasing customer count and average sales per transaction Identifying local marketing opportunities to attract customers Being knowledgeable about local events and competition Promoting speedy and friendly service Implementing marketing promotions flawlessly Achieve profitability targets by: Maintaining staffing levels aligned with sales Ensuring compliance with labor laws Ordering and managing inventory to minimize waste Implementing proper cash handling procedures Conducting cash audits and addressing any discrepancies Following health and safety protocols Managing service costs efficiently Meeting controllable cost targets Limitations and Disclaimer This profile is intended to represent the general nature and level of work performed; it is not exhaustive.
