Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Department Name: Maintenance Reports to (title): Plant Manager/Director of Operations Business Unit: Fort Mill Job Summary: Will perform daily routine of vital systems and report findings. Equipment inspections and Preventive maintenance activities daily, monthly, and quarterly with a high level of precision. Trouble shoot failed equipment and investigate root cause of failure. Rebuild pumps, blowers, gearboxes, and slide gate devices, CNCs as needed. Balance multiple tasks to completion based on plant priority. Train and mentor less experienced colleges to develop teams. Job Highlights Shift: Dayshift Hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00PM On call rotation will be a period of one week. Essential Job Functions: Identify functional failures through trouble shooting methods and make decisions to replace or rebuild failed component. Routine maintenance on all equipment: Inspections, filters change, oil change, grease, and document findings. Trouble shoot electrical components motor starters, solid state relays, overloads, fuses, safety circuits, motors, solenoids. Pneumatic equipment trouble shooting CNC equipment, dust-collection & blow-down devices, solenoids. CNC Router troubleshooting, repairs, and programming. Powder conveying system; Vacuum pumps, sheave alignment, drive belts, level sensors. Communicate with management and corporate maintenance and management team. General mechanical Experience Maintain awareness of new systems and techniques in order to upgrade existing equipment and processes Follow safety procedures and work carefully at all times to prevent injuries and avoid damage to company property Effectively communicate and cooperate with supervisors and co-workers to achieve company goals and objectives Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment. Responds to emergency breakdown and repairs which may occur outside operating hours Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management Maintain good housekeeping Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds Meet or exceed company safety standards Responsibilities (what you own) Equipment Performance Start/Stop/Run Records/Reports PM performance Support TPM Program Levels: Worker Maintenance for tech/knowledge level Technical Maintenance for Diagnosis and Improvements Tools/Equipment for Maintenance Setup and maintenance room Setup tools & equipment Facilities - First responder and hand off to contractors Equipment/Machine Vendor coordination and support Order parts/equipment for your own maintenance work. Requirements Required Skills & Abilities: Experience reading and interpreting documents such as mechanical, and electrical prints or schematics. 3 or more years of related experience in a manufacturing plant, troubleshooting and repairing machinery and equipment as well as maintaining the building and grounds. Intermediate to Advanced electrical training or experience with single and three phase electrical circuits up to 480 volts. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, job related internet research, and experience utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Software. Functional knowledge of mechanical components (valves, pipe fittings, bearings, motors, gearboxes, etc.). Trade or vocational school degree or related experience Proficiency in operating electric or propane-fueled forklift, scissor lift, and/or boom lift. Minimum 3 years of documented experience Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
