POSITION SUMMARY At Polk Mechanical, you'll be the backbone of our HVAC services, specializing in chiller systems. You'll use your expertise to diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade a variety of HVAC equipment. This isn't just about fixing things; it's about being a problem-solver, a skilled technician, and a crucial link in ensuring our customers' comfort and operational efficiency. WHAT YOU'LL DOBe a Troubleshooting Master: Identify and resolve technical problems with precision, ensuring all failed components are identified and addressed. Work with Diverse Systems: Apply your knowledge of both air- and water-cooled HVAC equipment, including VFDs and various types of starters. Conquer Hydronic Challenges: Troubleshoot hydronic systems, including system pumps and water balance issues. Maintain Cooling Towers: Effectively troubleshoot cooling towers and evaporative condensers. Navigate Microprocessors: Utilize your general working knowledge of York, Trane, and Carrier microprocessors. Support the Team: Be a team player, assisting with dispatch service calls when customer demand is high. Communicate Professionally: Interact clearly and respectfully with customers and internal office personnel. Manage Your Work: Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted daily. Work Independently: Set and meet your own goals, taking ownership and a sense of urgency with every task. Travel as Needed: Be willing and able to travel to customer locations within the greater Dallas area. Prioritize Safety: Abide by all safety rules and regulations, including courteous and defensive driving. Maintain Flexibility: Be adaptable to a flexible work schedule. WHAT YOU'LL BRING8+ years of extensive experience providing professional services in the HVAC industry, specifically working with water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
