If you are a hands-on engineer with a passion for tackling complex software challenges in distributed systems, identity, security, observability, and user experience, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of major service components while mentoring junior engineers. Collaborate with engineering managers and technical project managers to deliver high-quality product features on schedule. Engage in high-level system design, architectural documentation, and engineering peer reviews. Take a hands-on approach in prototyping, code reviews, and project initiation. Empower development teams by advocating for process and service improvements through automation and instrumentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master's preferred). 10+ years of experience in distributed service engineering within a software development environment. Proficiency in modern programming languages, particularly Java and C++. Strong understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development in cloud environments. Familiarity with networking protocols, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems concepts. Good knowledge of databases, including NoSQL systems and persistent storage technologies. Experience with cloud engineering infrastructure development. Willingness to learn about and work with Linux systems. Preferred Experience: Experience developing services on public cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure. Involvement in security reviews and UX evaluations, collaborating with product managers. Understanding of multi-availability zone (AZ) and regional data center architectures. Experience building continuous integration and deployment pipelines with rigorous testing protocols. Familiarity with compliance frameworks like FedRAMP or PCI DSS. Expertise in threat modeling and risk identification techniques. Salary and Benefits: In this role, you can expect a competitive salary range starting from $96,800 to $251,600 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity, and deferred compensation.
