This position serves as a leader in patient care using the nursing process, aligning with the Nurse Practice Act and ANA Code for Nurses. You will delegate and direct both licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes while respecting cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity. You will also engage in activities aimed at achieving unit and departmental goals. Schedule Rotating 12-hour shifts, alternating between days and nights (i.e., 2 weeks nights then 2 weeks days or vice versa). Qualifications Education Required: Registered nurse diploma. Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Work Experience Required: No prior experience required. Certifications Required: Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Proficiency in using computers and relevant software. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Key Responsibilities Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care effectively. Assess patient learning needs and implement suitable teaching strategies. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources efficiently. Use data to evaluate and promote changes for better patient outcomes. Enhance customer satisfaction and nursing practice through positive interactions. Tailor communication and care to the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
