Installer Levels Installer I - Entry Level / Junior Installer This position is ideal for individuals new to the solar field or those transitioning from roofing, electrical, or construction backgrounds. Key Responsibilities: Assist with the installation of residential solar PV systems under supervision. Support tasks like racking assembly, module placement, and site preparation. Safely use ladders, fall protection equipment, and essential power tools. Maintain clean, organized job sites and assure adherence to safety standards. Learn installation plans, code requirements, and best practices. Installer II - Experienced Solar Installer This role suits installers with hands-on experience in residential solar who can perform various installation tasks independently. Key Responsibilities: Install rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems per engineered plans. Read and implement layout plans, roof diagrams, and equipment placement strategies. Install racking, modules, conduits, and assist with wiring tasks. Identify and help troubleshoot installation challenges. Support quality control and guide Installer I team members. Installer III This position targets experienced solar professionals ready to take on advanced technical duties and lead on-site efforts. Key Responsibilities: Oversee residential solar installations from start to finish. Troubleshoot complex roof conditions, layouts, and system issues. Ensure adherence to NEC regulations, AHJ requirements, and prepare for inspections. Serve as a technical resource for the installation team. Train and mentor junior installers to promote team growth. Provide a pathway towards Senior Installer or advanced technical roles. What You'll Do (All Levels) Install residential solar PV systems on rooftops and ground mounts. Adhere to engineered plans, NEC standards, and local building codes. Evaluate job sites for safety, structural integrity, and optimal roof conditions. Document installation photos, site notes, and as-built details. Maintain professional job sites while prioritizing safety and quality. Meet daily production goals while ensuring quality workmanship. What We're Looking For Installer I: Construction, roofing, or electrical experience preferred. Installer II-III: 1-2+ years of residential solar installation experience required. Comfortable and safe when working on pitched roofs using ladders and fall protection. Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and engage in physical labor throughout the day. Dependable, safety-minded, and a collaborative team player. Valid driver's license and capability to travel to various job sites.
