Role: Project Manager Location: Pickens, SC - onsite Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 base salary + 10-15% Summary: Our client specialized manufacturer focused on the design, engineering, fabrication, and construction support of custom steel bridges. The company partners with municipalities, infrastructure programs, energy companies, private developers, and other organizations to deliver high-quality, custom structural solutions. Position Summary Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of bridge manufacturing and delivery projects from sales handoff through engineering, fabrication, production, shipment, and closeout. This role serves as the central coordination point across internal teams (engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and leadership) and external partners (general contractors, subcontractors, and installation project managers). The Project Manager is responsible for schedule execution, scope management, budget awareness, documentation accuracy, and overall project success. This is primarily an internal project management role with no travel requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational discipline, excellent interpersonal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Project Ownership & Execution Manage full project lifecycle from planning and budgeting through delivery and closeout Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and execution plans Track scope, change orders, and impacts to cost and timeline Support fast project turnaround timelines (typical project duration: 3-9 months) Manage projects ranging approximately from $40K to $250K+ (occasionally higher depending on scope) Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as primary internal coordination point across sales, engineering, purchasing, fabrication, and leadership Interface with external project managers, general contractors, and subcontractors as needed Review drawings, specifications, and project scope documentation Coordinate material procurement and supply chain planning Assign and track work based on team skill sets and project priorities Financial, Quality & Risk Management Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial performance Monitor schedule and cost risks and implement mitigation strategies Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout fabrication and delivery Recommend external vendors or contractors when appropriate Communication & Documentation Maintain accurate project documentation including work orders, cost tracking, change orders, and project status reports Coordinate shipping logistics and delivery schedules with shop and customer teams Communicate project updates clearly to leadership and stakeholders Hands-On Leadership & Team Support Operate as a "player/coach" - supporting execution while providing project leadership Collaborate closely with shop leadership and production teams Support material takeoffs, ordering, and supply coordination as needed Help remove execution roadblocks and drive project accountability Qualifications Required Minimum 5+ years of Project Management experience Experience in manufacturing, construction, or fabrication environments Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively Experience working with budgets, schedules, and project documentation Proficiency with Excel and Google Workspace tools Preferred: Associate degree or technical education Hands-on shop, welding, or fabrication exposure Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors Experience supporting internal production-driven project environments Work Environment Combination of office and fabrication shop environments Frequent collaboration with production and shop personnel PPE required and provided when in shop areas Onsite role with flexibility between office and shop locations (Pickens and Greenville area) #MISC123
