Experienced Maintenance Technician | Overview As an Experienced Maintenance Technician, you will independently manage work orders, assist in preventative maintenance, and support day-to-day upkeep of the community. This position requires HVAC certification and a fundamental understanding of routine repairs. Overview of Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience: Two years of apartment maintenance experience preferred Licenses & Certifications: Valid Driver's License EPA/HVAC Certification CPO Certification is a plus Key Responsibilities Repair & Preventative Maintenance Diagnose and execute maintenance and repairs efficiently and professionally. Ensure all service requests are fulfilled according to Hawthorne standards. Prepare vacant apartments for new residents in alignment with company standards. Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning. Carry out preventative maintenance as outlined in company policies. Building & Grounds Maintenance Conduct daily upkeep of buildings and common areas, ensuring grounds are clean, free of litter, debris, and pet waste. Maintain shop appearance to facilitate quick inventory assessments. Additional Responsibilities Foster positive relations with residents, co-workers, and company staff. Always display a friendly and courteous attitude towards prospects, residents, vendors, and fellow employees. Participate in an on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled. Adhere to safety guidelines following OSHA regulations and company policies. Complete special projects as needed. What Qualities Ensure Success in This Role? Work Schedule Maintenance Technicians work Monday through Friday, with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies and occasional support for resident events.
