Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CT Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity:CT Technologist - CT Tech Job Details:• Work 12-hour night shifts• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs• Must be dependable, accountable and cooperative• Perform CT scans and technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history• Administer contrast media following established procedures• Review CT/radiographic images for clinically acceptable results• Respond to emergency situations and maintain life support equipment• Assist other technologists in all modalities when needed• Demonstrate proficiency with loading and operating power injection equipment• Maintain competency with venipuncture procedures• Adjust technique to provide lowest possible radiation dose while maintaining image quality• Clean, disinfect and maintain equipment according to infection control policies• Transport and position patients on procedure tables• Apply shielding, supportive and immobilization devices• Take call when necessary• Required certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography), BLS• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology required• Less than 1 year CT experience preferred• Must complete accredited Radiologic Technology program• Excellent communication skills required for interaction with physicians, patients and staff• Must function independently under pressure while participating in team environment Facility:This healthcare system operates a comprehensive medical center providing advanced imaging services including computed tomography.
