Lead Roadway Construction Inspector

RK&K is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Roadway Inspector for a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of inspection experience involving roadway and structural construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications. Essential Functions Provide effective construction management supervision and leadership to fellow inspectors. Inspect and monitor roadway structures to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Engage proactively in problem-solving to offer technical evaluations and sound solutions while independently coordinating and overseeing all phases of construction inspection for complex projects. Maintain accurate records, manage scheduling, and prepare reports as required. Communicate effectively with project management, clients, stakeholders, and contractors across various platforms. Utilize Microsoft Office products proficiently. Required Skills and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. A minimum of five (5) years of experience in roadway/building inspection with a strong understanding of construction methods, materials, standards, and specifications. Construction project management experience. Experience in recruiting and placing CEI staff with municipal clients. Familiarity with the QA/QC development and execution process. DelDOT Material Certifications. Knowledge of materials, standards, and specifications relevant to state highway projects and facilities. Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Ability to apply mathematical formulas and engineering principles. Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products. A valid driver's license and a favorable driving record. Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
