Advanced Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Join Our Team! As a valued member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced clinical psychiatric nursing care. Under the guidance of a psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to support clients through a range of essential responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and manage ongoing medication for clients. Prescribe medications and recommend various therapeutic interventions. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and address clients' clinical concerns. Conduct laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures as needed. Facilitate client referrals to specialized health resources for additional care. Perform timely crisis interventions to support clients in need. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to ensure high-quality care delivery. Flexibility to cover additional locations as required. Qualifications: A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is essential. Current licensure as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in New York State. Active DEA certification for prescribing medications. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset to work with diverse teams. Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills, particularly in psychopharmacological treatments. Proficient in delivering care to individuals with mental health conditions. Commitment to teamwork and a passion for serving clients from various backgrounds and identities.
