Key Responsibilities: Foster trust and respect among team members. Create a welcoming atmosphere for customers by providing insightful answers about products. Communicate clearly with customers and team members, both verbally and in writing. Utilize your knowledge of pharmaceutical products to make informed recommendations. Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescription orders in compliance with laws and regulations. Fill, label, and bag prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Assess prescriptions for appropriateness, prioritizing patient safety and legal compliance. Offer drug counseling to customers and prescribers. Understand third-party billing procedures to assist customers effectively. Maintain accurate prescription records and manage customer interactions professionally. Initiate phone communications with prescribers and their office staff as needed. Efficiently use pharmacy computer systems for prescription processing. Ensure accurate inventory management of controlled substances in line with compliance requirements. Promote immunization services to patients safely and effectively. Participate in clinical activities for which you are trained. Support supply ordering and inventory maintenance. Assist in supervising team members and delegating tasks. File prescription orders and other records following state and federal regulations. Resolve customer and staff conflicts in the absence of the department manager. Analyze and interpret pharmacy reports. Oversee departmental needs in the manager's absence. Report any accidents involving customers or employees to management. Document pharmacy incidents or errors as per Corporate Accuracy Policy requirements. Identify and report any safety risks or illegal activities. Perform essential job functions standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs. Fulfill job responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: A current pharmacist license without restrictions in the state of employment. A graduate from a US School of Pharmacy or passed a foreign equivalency exam. Successful completion of the NAPLEX exam. Willingness to work at various locations as needed. Ability to travel independently. Desired Experience: Prior experience as a staff pharmacist.
