Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Specialist

Join our team as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery where you will play a critical role in providing both routine and complex patient care. As a competent nurse in our clinical setting, you will work independently while demonstrating an awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation. Your responsibilities will include: Utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—for assigned patients. Addressing the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Administering medications and treatments according to protocols, while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness. Documenting patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately. Assessing learning needs and providing education to patients and their families. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: A minimum of 1 year in a related nursing specialty is preferred. Licenses/Certifications: BLS required; RN License in state of employment or compact. Additional Requirements: Engagement in New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Successful completion of a designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Services-specific competency validation. Current certifications: NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Intermediate FHM or equivalent. You will be expected to work from 7 PM to 7 AM on a full-time basis.
