Guide a talented team in reviewing layouts, specifications, and designs for critical facilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless planning and execution. Guarantee all designs meet Oracle's performance standards and industry regulations. Oversee comprehensive design reviews from initial proposals to project completion. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new designs and modifications. Promote green and sustainable design principles across all projects. Build and maintain robust relationships with external vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities Direct design strategies for multiple large-scale data center projects globally. Ensure designs are cost-efficient, innovative, and aligned with technological advancements. Stay abreast of and incorporate emerging technologies and trends into design standards. Effectively present design documentation and project updates to senior leadership and stakeholders. Mentor and support team members in their professional growth. Conduct design evaluations and quality assessments to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Work closely with construction management to resolve design-related challenges during the construction phase. Establish project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations with precision. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Over 10 years of experience in data center design, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership capacity. In-depth understanding of cross-functional aspects of data center operations, construction methodologies, and engineering practices. A proven track record of delivering complex data center designs on time and within budget. Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory standards, industry benchmarks, and best practices in data center design. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels. A data-driven mindset capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing multiple concurrent projects. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely within the United States, with travel requirements of approximately 25%, which may vary.
