We offer a diverse range of services, including therapy, psychiatric rehabilitation, and medication management across the Baltimore metro area. Position Overview We are on the lookout for a motivated Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join us as our Medical Director. This pivotal role will balance clinical care with program oversight to ensure superior medication management and adherence to our agency's quality and compliance standards. Collaborating with our Director of Operations, Clinical Supervisor, and Program Director, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and integrity of Ascend's clinical programs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care. Review and approve treatment plans for clients receiving medication services. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement clinical policies and procedures. Maintain timely and compliant documentation within 48 hours of service delivery. Engage in leadership, quarterly staff, and strategic planning meetings. Offer clinical consultation and mentorship to staff while collaborating on complex cases. Participate in internal audits, peer feedback, and quality improvement initiatives. Exemplify professionalism, compassion, and accountability in line with Ascend’s mission and values. Schedule & Compensation Status: Part-Time (20 hours per week) Compensation: $65-85/hour (W-2 employee) Pay Frequency: Semi-monthly via direct deposit (1st & 15th) Work Setting: In-person and/or telehealth (as approved by Ascend) Start Date: Week of December 1, 2025 Qualifications Required: Active, unrestricted State of Maryland CRNP-PMH license Current DEA registration Strong clinical documentation skills and knowledge of Medicaid and Joint Commission standards Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Preferred: Prior leadership or medical director experience Experience working in outpatient or community mental health settings Flexible work-from-home options are also available.
