Product Development Engineer

Location: Gray Court, SC Report: VP of Technology Education: Chemical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Material Science, or similar technical discipline. Professional Experience: 1 to 5 years Attributes/Skills Technical background in blown film and/or flexible packaging Knowledge of polymers (Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Nylon, and EVOH) Knowledge of blown film process and equipment Effective communication skills Good technical writing skills Technical knowledge of the end use of flexible packaging in food and/or non-food applications. Medical packaging experience a plus. Willingness to travel (Domestic) Job Duties Develop blown film coextrusions to provide desired functionality and physical performance. Optimize financial goals through material cost take out and waste reduction while maintaining material performance. Investigate and stay current on new resin and additive technologies. Support Sales through interaction with customers to solve packaging challenges. Support Operations in the manufacturing of blown PE based films. Travel to ISOFlex manufacturing and customer sites to support development activities.
