Deliver personalized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities. Forge collaborative relationships with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated treatment approach. Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond the therapy setting. Occasionally assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the recovery journey. Accurately document patient interactions and developments in compliance with state, federal, and institutional guidelines. Stay abreast of advancements in the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration. Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required. Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Licensure and Certifications Current state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment commencement. Skills Required Expertise in evidence-based treatment techniques across all age groups, highlighting a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams. Ability to modify treatment strategies to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical judgment coupled with problem-solving capabilities.
