Application Deadline: Expected to close within 30 days of this posting. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the dining room, room service, and convenience store, if applicable. Assign and manage wait staff sections, including side work inspections. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of room service orders. Facilitate the smooth opening and closing of the dining room. Schedule adequate staff for shifts and cover absences. Supervise resident billing for food services. Assist in creating weekly schedules within budgetary guidelines. Lead the training of new dining room associates. Provide oversight for special events. Assist service staff and greet residents and guests as necessary. Collaborate with the Dining Services Director on hiring, training, and staff management. Maintain and relay resident dining requests to the Chef and/or Food Service Director. This job description outlines the core responsibilities of the position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary. Qualifications: Education and Experience: An Associate's degree or two to three years of relevant experience is preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Certifications: Current ServSafe Certification is required, along with any necessary local or state food handling/sanitation licenses. Decision-Making: Utilize existing guidelines to make departmental decisions and solve moderately complex issues using sound judgment. Knowledge and Skills: Must possess extensive knowledge of dining services, be energetic, friendly, and organized, and enjoy working with older adults. Strong communication skills in English are essential.
