About the Role: The Knife Department Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by precisely fabricating, sharpening, and maintaining industrial knives used across various production lines. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all knives meet exact specifications for performance and safety. By maintaining and calibrating machinery, the machinist ensures consistent production quality and minimizes downtime. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years in manufacturing. Able to do basic math. Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Able to read micrometers and calipers. Responsibilities: Setting up, operating, monitoring and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient high-quality output, while adhering to safety and quality standards. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality control. Able to read micrometers and calipers. Additional Notes: Candidate must be able to lift 50-75 pounds non-continuous. Must be able to work as a team or individually. Must be able to learn new machines to keep workflow going without being told. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 6a-4:30p.
