Category Operations DescriptionPosition Overview The Senior Manager, Fund Accounting leads the implementation and optimization of fund accounting systems, develops policies and procedures to drive automation and efficiency, and ensures accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance for Meeder Funds and Mutual Funds Service Co. This role collaborates across departments, mentors team members, supports long-term planning, and plays a key part in operational transformation and technology adoption, reporting directly to the SVP, Operations. Primary Responsibilities Support the fund accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely NAV calculations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. Oversee implementation and optimization of fund accounting systems, including automation of recurring processes and integration with transfer agency and investment platforms. Collaborate with IT, Compliance, and Operations to identify and execute process improvements that reduce manual effort and enhance data integrity. Serve as a subject matter expert on fund accounting workflows, system configurations, and reporting tools. Monitor and resolve data discrepancies across systems and ensure alignment with internal controls and audit requirements. Develop and maintain documentation for procedures, workflows, and system configurations. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Responsible for assisting in the long-term planning of personnel, technology, and facilities to accommodate future growth. Responsible to be aware of developments within the industry to further expand the knowledge of oneself, the team, and the organization. Responsible for other duties assigned by the SVP, Operations or other Senior Management of Meeder Investment Management. Critical Success Factors Demonstrated success in driving operational transformation and technology adoption. Familiarity with SOC 1 Type 2 controls and audit frameworks. Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to design and complete departmental objectives, goals, controls, procedures, processes, and systems Ability and willingness to embrace personal growth and challenges outside of comfort zone Team player who is committed, dedicated, confident, professional, and accountable Accurate, detail-oriented, reliable, and timely, with strong problem-solving skills Ability to balance multiple daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines and objectives Strong work ethic with the willingness to learn and improve oneself Ability to coach/train/teach others with a high degree of ethics and integrity Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred. 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in system implementations, process automation, and cross-functional project management. Strong understanding of mutual fund operations, NAV calculations, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in fund accounting platforms and reporting tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across departments. High level knowledge of common stock, futures and fixed income securities.
