The Core Infrastructure team at Coinbase is responsible for the foundational systems that ensure our products remain online, secure, and scalable. We manage the compute, networking, and storage platforms that support Coinbase applications on a global scale, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness in a highly regulated, always-on financial environment. As a Product Manager II, you will take ownership of the roadmap focused on scalability, resilience, and efficiency of Coinbase's core infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering and SRE teams to assess cloud platforms, optimize compute and networking systems, and develop resilient services to guarantee consistent and secure operation of Coinbase's crypto applications at a global scale. Your key responsibilities will include: Managing the product roadmap for Coinbase's core infrastructure, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency for global operations. Collaborating with engineering, SRE, and infrastructure partners to design reliable compute, networking, and storage systems across multiple regions and clouds. Leading the assessment and integration of infrastructure technologies (compute, networking, storage, observability) to enhance performance and ensure uptime during peak demands. Proactively anticipating growth from product launches, traffic surges, and global expansion, ensuring the infrastructure can scale ahead of demand. Defining and monitoring SLAs for uptime, latency, and resilience, and iterating collaboratively with engineering teams to consistently meet or surpass these targets. Providing reliable, secure, and compliant infrastructure services to support and accelerate product delivery. We are looking for candidates who have: The ability to convert infrastructure challenges into clear product strategies with measurable results. A proven track record in scaling globally distributed systems and core services to manage large, dynamic workloads with exceptional reliability. Strength in collaboration with engineering, SRE, and security teams. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, service mesh, distributed storage, networking, and observability platforms. Comfort in balancing cost, performance, scalability, and compliance requirements in a regulated industry. Preferred qualifications include: Experience with infrastructure solutions for high-volume, low-latency, and always-on applications.
