Description As a Customer Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers through various channels such as in-person, online, or by phone, managing merchandise stocking, performing cleaning tasks, handling cash transactions, and contributing to the overall team goals. Depending on business needs, your focus may vary between customer engagement on the sales floor and register operations. Customer Service Standards Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring all reasonable requests are addressed. If unsure how to assist, consult with a supervisor or manager on duty (MOD) for guidance. Deliver proactive and exceptional customer service to every individual entering or contacting our store. Every customer, every time (E.C.E.T) deserves a warm, friendly welcome. Key areas of focus include: Assisting customers in the aisles. Providing special services such as basic paint/stain mixing, key cutting, glass and lumber cutting, and filling or exchanging propane. Accepting customer items for repairs, managing screen orders, and sharpening services. Offering special orders for out-of-stock items. Processing transactions at the register, including purchases, returns, online orders, and customer carry-outs. Stay informed about active promotions and upcoming sales to maximize sales opportunities with customers. Run basic transactions efficiently at the register and assist in backup situations to minimize checkout wait times. Department Maintenance Ensure store maintenance by managing inventory organization, including rotating stock, keeping the store clean, monitoring out-of-stock items, and updating bin tags. Only relocate items with permission from the Inventory Coordinator or a manager. When stocking shelves, place items correctly on designated pegs or shelves, ensuring proper merchandising with accurate tagging. Attitude and Productivity Arrive at work on time with a positive attitude. Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly objectives. Cash Handling For those with cash access, adhere to all cash handling procedures and sign off on bank deposits as required. Physical Requirements Must be capable of standing for the duration of the shift, excluding breaks. Must be able to safely lift and handle merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 60 lbs.
