Our Project Services division excels in providing superior cost estimating services, establishing us as industry leaders. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cost Estimator with marine estimating experience on projects with capital costs ranging from $25M to $25B. You will play an essential role in supporting our diverse projects and clients nationwide, including piers, dry docks, flood walls, and breakwaters. While ideally located near a Jacobs office, this position will primarily be remote. This role involves reviewing design documents, proposals, specifications, and drawings, attending design development meetings, and evaluating risk and cost impacts necessary for developing comprehensive estimates. You will collaborate with a knowledgeable and supportive team as you prepare estimates by: Developing capital cost estimates for complex heavy civil/marine projects. Reviewing contractor proposals across various procurement types. Examining and validating change orders. Interfacing with clients to present capital cost estimates. Maintaining organized and detailed files, project records, and logs. Attending project meetings as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 10-15 years of estimating and construction experience. Proficient with MS Office and estimating software. Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) estimating software. Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software. Expertise in alternative delivery procurement. Strong understanding of the relationship between cost, risk, and schedule.
