Your Role As the Director of Accessibility Compliance Initiatives, you will collaborate with the Vice President of Compliance to lead university efforts around accessibility and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and associated regulations. This includes acting as the university's ADA and Section 504 Coordinator, advocating for both digital and physical accessibility, and devising strategic plans to achieve our compliance goals. Key Responsibilities: Accessibility and ADA/504 Coordination: Serve as the ADA/Section 504 Coordinator, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and institutional policies. Lead initiatives to enhance accessibility across programs, services, facilities, and digital platforms. Create and implement policies that support equal access and foster continuous improvement. Collaborate with departments to remove accessibility barriers and promote universal design. Drive digital accessibility efforts, ensuring alignment with applicable standards. Conduct accessibility assessments and monitor progress on compliance goals. Maintain confidential records of ADA/504 complaints, grievances, and resolutions. Provide training and outreach on disability inclusion and legal responsibilities. Stay updated on emerging accessibility standards and case law pertinent to higher education. Compliance Program Support: Lead the evaluation and enhancement of institutional ADA practices. Support the development and monitoring of compliance initiatives and reporting frameworks. Conduct audits and accessibility evaluations to promote equal access goals. Develop dashboards to track compliance metrics effectively. Work with compliance partners to align ADA practices with broader requirements. Title IX and Equity Support: Serve as Deputy Title IX Coordinator, fulfilling related responsibilities as needed. Participate in the Title IX Team to ensure fairness and procedural adherence. Crosstrain with Title IX and Equity Directors for enhanced collaboration. Assist in policy reviews to ensure alignment across all compliance frameworks. What You Bring: 4+ years of experience in ADA/504 compliance within higher education or a similar environment. Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. Knowledge of digital accessibility principles and tools (e.g., WCAG standards). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. Strong interpersonal skills with diverse populations. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking abilities and a proactive approach. Compensation The annual pay range for this position is $85,563.00 to $136,928.00, contingent on your skills and experience. The target hiring range is between $94,548.00 and $127,918.00.
