Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your expertise as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist will make a meaningful impact. This full-time night shift role involves collaborating with fellow pharmacists to compound and dispense medications and IV supplies with precision and care. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and confirm medication orders using Meditech, ensuring no duplications or errors. Provide knowledgeable responses to pharmacy staff, nursing, and physicians by researching medication information and resolving discrepancies. Review physician orders for accuracy, clarify as needed, and document all communications. Perform thorough safety checks including barcode scanning and visual inspections during medication dispensing and restocking. Prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic techniques and maintain detailed chemotherapy documentation. Manage narcotic counts and controlled substance documentation with accuracy and timeliness. Participate actively in committees, assist in pharmacist hiring, and support pharmacy student precepting. Contribute to improving pharmaceutical care and drug therapy management through clinical activities and documentation. Complete all required annual education and competencies, including IV Room and USP 797 standards. Education A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy is required. Experience One year of hospital pharmacy experience or internship is preferred. Requirements Current pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain licensure within 90 days. Active membership in pharmacy organizations is encouraged. Ability to maintain focus for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
