Field Application Engineer for Transit Solutions

As a leading provider of Intelligent Transit Systems, we specialize in delivering innovative hardware and software solutions for tracking buses throughout the United States. You'll play a key role in coordinating project-level engineering and installation on transit vehicles, ensuring that our solutions make transit work for everyone. Your responsibilities will include: Understanding project scope and preparing engineering deliverable work packages. Testing equipment prior to installation and surveying buses on-site. Collaborating with clients for installation approvals and managing installation teams, including subcontractors. Demonstrating quality installation standards and validating that every component meets our high standards. Handling field reports, writing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and continuously improving our systems and processes. Engaging with cross-functional teams and external vendors to solve engineering challenges and optimize installations. We value engineers who take ownership of their projects and prioritize customer satisfaction. Your role will require at least 50% travel, so a love for exploring new locations is essential! Desired Skills: Strong technical communication skills and the ability to convey complex information effectively. Hands-on experience with low voltage systems and testing/troubleshooting electrical basics. Basic IT skills, including network and router configuration (training provided). Experience managing installation teams and communicating project deliverables. Familiarity with 2D CAD software is a plus. A background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory. Our company culture is supportive, collaborative, and even a bit playful!
