About Vergennes Union High School Vergennes Union High School is a cornerstone of education in Addison County, serving approximately 245 students in grades 9-12 from the city of Vergennes and the surrounding towns of Addison, Ferrisburgh, Panton, and Waltham. Position Overview Vergennes Union High School seeks a dynamic and visionary educational leader to serve as High School Co-Principal. This leadership position focuses on instructional excellence, student achievement, and innovative pathways to success. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who champions personalized learning, builds strong community partnerships, and empowers both students and staff to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a shared vision aligned with our mission; use data for continuous improvement Promote effective communication and collaboration among staff, students, and parents Build positive relationships with parents, businesses, and community; advocate for student-centered policies Oversee curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices to drive student achievement Provide administrative oversight of counselors and ensure alignment of counseling services with educational goals Develop innovative flexible pathways programs including dual enrollment, early college, and CTE opportunities Establish partnerships with local businesses to create meaningful internship opportunities for students Integrate flexible pathways and internships into personalized learning plans; monitor program effectiveness
