Job Summary Join our team at AEO Application Engineering, where you will provide crucial technical expertise to enhance aeroderivative gas turbine sales in the marine, power, and oil & gas sectors worldwide. In this role, you will produce technical product documents, analyze competitive aeroderivative gas turbine products, support dynamic sales campaigns, and conduct technical analyses focusing on performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions. This position may involve domestic and international travel of up to 10% per year. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist technical expertise and develop innovative technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) during the pre-ITO (requisition) process in collaboration with the commercial team. Possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant markets and customer economic values to inform effective bid strategies, including: technical analysis of client needs, product definition and optimization, scope description, scheduling, industrial scheming, and cost assessments aligned with contract and internal policies. Calculate plant, system, and equipment performance and efficiency metrics. Document technical specifications and costing elements for subsequent contract execution phases, including customizing products to meet specific customer needs during the OTR stage. Leverage specialized knowledge to influence strategy development within your area of responsibility, manage resources, and contribute to policy formulation. Interpret business challenges and advise on best practices to refine products, processes, or services. Stay updated on industry trends that may impact your work. Exercise high-level judgment to resolve complex operational, product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering issues. Assess the quality of information provided and engage stakeholders with relevant questions. Offer creative solutions to challenges beyond established parameters and provide well-founded recommendations. Utilize a range of internal and external sources to facilitate decision-making. Potentially lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risks, or complexities. Effectively communicate intricate concepts and persuade others to consider alternative perspectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering or Product Management. This position requires U.S. citizenship status. Desired Qualifications: Strong background in performance, controls, combustion (aero or design), fuel system design, or systems engineering. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership characteristics. Proven capability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated experience leading programs or projects successfully. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs effectively. Established project management skills. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $200,000, influenced by factors including experience, education, and skills. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance. Applications will be accepted until 1/31/26.
