Your impact: As an Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be to expand and nurture territories within Splunk's Public Sector, focusing on Commercial SLED accounts. Utilize your exceptional sales, negotiation, and leadership abilities to generate leads and promote Splunk's industry-leading software to Tribal Communities. We seek a candidate with a proven history of success in software or services sales, as well as the skill to establish and maintain beneficial, long-lasting customer relationships. Follow up on inbound leads and provide status updates using the company CRM system. Engage in outbound prospecting and lead generation activities. Qualify both inbound and outbound leads. Schedule product demonstrations for qualified clients. Manage account relationships by understanding client needs and communicating the value of our products and services. Accurately forecast sales opportunities based on realistic evaluations. Meet or exceed assigned revenue targets. Collaborate with field representatives. Participate in various field marketing events, including Splunk Lives, our National Users Conference, and regional trade shows. Minimum qualifications: At least 2 years of experience selling enterprise IT solutions, such as BI, data analytics, security software, risk management software, or networking performance products. Preferred qualifications: Experience of at least 1 year selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts. Consultative sales experience with a knack for challenging businesses to think differently. Proven ability to identify and pursue new opportunities, including cold calling and hunting for business. Experience managing the entire sales process from start to closure. History of exceeding sales goals and quotas. Track record of success in consultative sales environments. Experienced in developing new business and managing the sales cycle from lead generation to closing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A logical and analytical thinker. Demonstrable negotiating skills. Strong technical aptitude. Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience with Salesforce.com is a plus. Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines. High attention to detail. Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and contribute as part of a team. Strong conflict resolution abilities. A highly motivated professional with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Science, or equivalent experience. Message to applicants applying to work in the U.S.: The starting salary range for this position is $127,200.00 to $174,900.00, reflecting the projected salary range for new hires in U.S. locations, excluding incentive compensation, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by factors such as the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and training. Benefits: U.S. employees enjoy benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as per Cisco's policies, including: 10 paid holidays per year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees. A paid day off for the employee's birthday, year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid personal wellness days. Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation annually, accrued at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt employees participate in a flexible vacation time program with no defined limits (subject to availability and business needs). 80 hours of sick time provided upon hire and each January 1st thereafter, with unused sick time carried forward annually. Additional paid time off may be requested for critical family emergencies. Optional 10 paid volunteer days per year. For non-sales roles, employees may also qualify for annual bonuses based on Cisco's policies. For sales roles, employees earn performance-based incentive pay based on their quotas and achievements.
