Estimator for Industrial Food & Beverage Construction Department: Industrial Construction - Food & Beverage Type: Full-Time Take Your Estimating Career to the Next Level with Impactful Food & Beverage Projects Are you a meticulous Estimator eager to contribute to complex industrial undertakings? Do you have a knack for analyzing structural, mechanical, and process systems to deliver precise, data-driven estimates that ensure project success? We are seeking a dedicated Estimator to leverage your expertise and insights in executing crucial food, beverage, and process-driven construction projects. From stainless process piping to equipment installations and high-stakes shutdown work, your estimates will drive the cost and execution strategies behind significant initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Technical Takeoffs & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive takeoffs from structural, mechanical, P&ID, OEM, and process drawings. Estimate structural steel, stainless and carbon piping, platforms, and labor for demolition, rigging, and shutdown projects. Estimate Development: Create conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates utilizing established cost codes and historical data. Validate quantities, durations, equipment needs, and constructability assumptions. Vendor & Subcontractor Engagement: Evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals for completeness, scope alignment, risks, and value-engineering options. Proposal & Handoff Support: Assist in proposal development and documentation, ensuring clarity and precision. Collaborate with project managers during project handoff, establishing alignment and readiness for execution. Qualifications: 5-15 years of experience in industrial estimating. Expertise in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or heavy mechanical construction. Strong ability to interpret structural, mechanical, electrical, and P&ID drawings. Proficiency in Excel and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and the capability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment. Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related construction or technical field. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with leading food and industrial mechanical contractors. Familiarity with USDA/FDA regulations, sanitary construction standards, and CIP requirements. Experience in modeling shutdown labor, accelerated schedules, and premium work conditions.
