We seek visionary and passionate individuals eager to make a significant impact in the field of gifted education. As a Board member, you will work closely with the Head of School to articulate and execute strategic plans encompassing growth and facilities development. Your leadership will be vital in safeguarding our mission, ensuring financial stability, and providing meaningful support and evaluation. The ideal candidates will possess a rich background in nonprofit leadership or entrepreneurship and demonstrate strengths in fundraising or marketing communications, complemented by a profound understanding of gifted education. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, intellectually curious, and willing to respectfully challenge conventional practices. Essential qualifications include at least 10 years of relevant leadership or board experience, a commitment to making a significant annual financial contribution, and a hands-on, strategic approach to governance. The estimated time commitment is between 20-30 hours per quarter, which includes board meetings, committee roles, and active involvement in fundraising events. While we prefer candidates who reside near the Greater Philadelphia area, we are open to exceptional individuals from other regions who can demonstrate a strong commitment of time and possess a robust network.
