Position SummaryThis position is Contingent Upon Contract Award. The Electrical/Electronic Systems Technician provides expert hands-on support for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and system restoration of electronic and electromechanical equipment. Using knowledge gained through a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) from an ABET-accredited institution, the technician isolates faults, implements corrective actions, and restores systems to mission-ready condition in accordance with technical data, configuration controls, and quality standards. The role also supports Help Desk/Technical Support operations by responding to user-reported issues, conducting remote and onsite diagnostics, updating tickets, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation. Additional responsibilities include assisting with installation, integration, and depot-level repairs, as well as providing technical guidance and best-practice support to end users. Success requires strong technical judgment, disciplined adherence to procedures, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality, configuration, and safety requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform complex troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair activities Execute maintenance and restoration actions per procedures and documentation Support installation/integration activities and verify proper operation Document work performed and support quality inspections Provide technical guidance and best practices to junior technicians Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited institution, or equivalent technical experience. Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands-on technical experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with depot-level repair, troubleshooting, or integration support Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong troubleshooting and hands-on repair capability Ability to interpret schematics, procedures, and technical manuals Quality-minded with attention to detail and safety practices Tools / Systems Experience Standard diagnostic equipment and test instruments Maintenance documentation systems; familiarity with CM-controlled procedures Experience working within ISO/AS-style quality environments a plus
