How you will make an impact: The Maintenance Technician Supervisor is a hands-on technical leader who performs and oversees maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance activities across all Meissner's manufacturing spaces, including membrane, hollow fiber filter, membrane/media filter, Single-Use System, and injection molding production areas, along with all peripheral processes. This role requires extensive and practical maintenance experience that can be applied to custom manufacturing processes. Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex process issues, and a proven track record of leading and developing maintenance teams is also required for this role. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic, high-pressure manufacturing environment and regularly goes above and beyond to keep production running safely and efficiently. Team Leadership and Development Provide daily supervision, coaching, scheduling, and performance management for maintenance technicians spanning multiple shifts and multiple buildings. Mentor and train technicians on safe work practices, technical skills, troubleshooting methodology, and record keeping. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory environments. Ensure shift coverage and support emergency response, which may include after-hours and weekends, as required. Equipment Performance and Reliability Perform hands-on maintenance activities including process and equipment troubleshooting, repair, alignment, and calibration of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems. Rapidly diagnose and resolve issues on custom, proprietary equipment, minimizing production downtime. Lead and execute preventative and predictive maintenance tasks and programs. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts towards improved equipment reliability, throughput, and output quality. Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and lead corrective action efforts using various problem-solving tools. Drive optimization initiatives to improve equipment efficiency and reduce waste. Maintenance Operations Ensure all repair and maintenance work is properly documented using company CMMS for work orders, scheduling, and asset history. Plan and coordinate maintenance activities including routine, emergency and shutdown work. Maintain parts inventory control for critical spare parts, and lead initiatives to establish and update reorder levels and spare parts control improvements. Source and purchase replacement parts and tools. Enforce lockout/tagout, electrical safety, confined space, and hazardous material safety. Communicate status, updates, and metrics to management and cross-functional teams. Prepare and maintain clear records, work orders, and reports. Cross Functional Collaboration Collaborate with production, engineering, quality, and facilities teams to prioritize work requests, support capability and capacity expansion efforts, implement process improvements, and support equipment installations. Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption during maintenance activities. Communicate equipment status and maintenance schedules to stakeholders. Coordinate, oversee, and support external service providers, as needed. This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA. The skills and experience you'll need: High school diploma or equivalent minimum, technical certification, associate degree, or journeyman trade certification in mechanical/electrical/industrial maintenance preferred. 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams. Experience with pharmaceutical-grade filtration, SUS, injection molding, or similar processes strongly preferred. Proven experience troubleshooting custom, proprietary equipment, machine controls, and integrated processes. Understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance principles. Experience with PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, servo systems, and HMIs preferred. Proven ability for work and individual performance documentation. Experience working in regulated and cleanroom environments is a plus. Meticulous and detail-oriented troubleshooting and analytical skills on electrical, mechanical, automated, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Strong mechanical skills - bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, valves, etc. Strong electrical skills - wiring, motor control, basic PLC logic, etc. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&IDs. Conventional machining capability preferred. Experience with CMMS is preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Word, Excel Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a cross-functional environment. Ability to remain calm, prioritize, manage time and tasks, and make effective decisions under pressure, during production-critical events. Proven track record of a safety-minded work approach.
