DetailsClient Name Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital Job Type Travel Offering Nursing Profession Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty PCU Job ID 36027454 Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU Weekly Pay $2107.0 Shift DetailsShift Nights - 3 x 12 Scheduled Hours 36 Job Order DetailsStart Date 04/06/2026 End Date 07/06/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description PCU Nurse - Progressive Care/Neuro Stepdown Schedule - Shift: Nights, 3x12 (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) - Rotating weekdays and weekends; rotating holidays Assignment Details - Patient population: Adults (stroke unit, neurological diagnoses; also med-surg patients) - Estimated patient ratio: 1:4 Requirements - Minimum 2 years PCU/stepdown experience - EPIC charting experience - Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS (NIH stroke scale) - Core clinical skills: Neuro stepdown/neurological nursing skills, post-tPA/TNK care and thrombolytic monitoring, craniotomy/post-op neurosurgery care, management/interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, blood product administration, oxygen therapy (nasal cannula), isolation precautions/PPE Roles & Responsibilities - Monitor and assess patients in a progressive care setting. - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans. - Maintain accurate patient records and document care provided.
