Adecco Staffing is seeking a Manufacturing R&D Technician in Peabody! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity. Hours: 8:00AM-5:00PM, Monday-Friday Pay: $30-$35/hour Job Summary: As a R&D Technician, you will contribute to the conceptualization, design, simulation, documentation, prototyping, and manufacturing of new active vibration control and magnetic field cancellation components and systems. You will also diagnose and remedy problems with existing products, help identify improvements to existing products, participate in cost reduction activities, and perform testing to justify new projects to internal stakeholders. Responsibilties: Perform testing required for the design and development of robust electromechanical systems Provide technical support to production to resolve technically challenging and time-sensitive issues in a fast-paced environment Work with Software, Firmware, Controls and Mechanical Engineers to assist in the development of cost-effective solutions Assist Service with challenging product performance issues Execute performance verification activities, including unit tests, integration tests, and debugging Develop technical expertise in TMC's electromechanical systems and provide guidance and support to company staff and customers Actively participate in product design reviews. Requirements: Minimum of Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Technology, or related field 3+ years of proven relevant work experience Understanding of PCB design, prototype, and manufacture Understanding of electronic component functions Understanding and ability to work with systems with mechanical, FW, and SW content Knowledge of Analog and Digital Signal processing Strong knowledge of Data Acquisition for variety of sensor types and data acquisition specs (resolution, noise tolerances, etc.) Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, soldering irons, and other common electrical engineering tools Hands-on experience with hand tools used for mechanical fabrication and assembly Knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and Parallel Knowledge of various memory types such as ROM or RAM Ability to read and understand complex electrical schematics and CAD drawings Experience using LabVIEW, Matlab, Spice, Multisim, or similar Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of embedded programming such as C, C++, C# or Python languages Experience in industries related to acoustics, mechanical vibration, and magnetism or magnetic fields a plus Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills "Roll up your sleeves" attitude in applying experience, knowledge, and skills in contributing to team efforts Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask and display consistent follow-through on tasks, assignments, projects, etc Knowledge of ECAD design tools such as Altium, Eagle, or Orcad Familiarity with ADC and DAC operations Familiarity with CE and/or UL marking requirements Experience working in an ISO 9001 environment If you are interested & qualified , please apply with your updated resume!
