Inpatient Coder 3

A company is looking for an Inpatient Coder 3. Key Responsibilities Codes and abstracts medical records with a minimum of 95% accuracy, assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS/CPT-4 HCPCS codes Manages additional coding responsibilities, resolving coding edits and ensuring timely completion of assigned work Serves as a mentor to new coders and assists with various coding tasks as needed Required Qualifications High School Education or GED required, along with completed anatomy and physiology courses Minimum of 7 years of acute care inpatient and/or IVR coding experience Demonstrated maintenance of a 95% or higher accuracy in coding and DRG assignment Ability to work in a remote environment and experience with computer/data entry Preferred certifications include Cert Coding Specialist, Cert Professional Coder, and Reg Health Information Technician
