Role Summary The Rivian Indirect Procurement team is seeking a highly motivated, independent, and exceptional IT Senior Global Supply Manager to support Rivian's mission of bringing innovative products to life. This role is responsible for managing the IT Software category for Product Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing. The Senior Global Supply Manager (IT Software) will oversee all commercial aspects of new business awards and renewals, present contract award recommendations to senior leadership, negotiate software licensing cost & agreements, and build strong partnerships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for managing strategic suppliers by establishing and leading quarterly business reviews to ensure ongoing alignment, performance, and value delivery. This position requires conducting spend analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess software performance, and ensuring suppliers meet Rivian's cost, quality, and timeline objectives. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end sourcing process, driving both operational excellence and strategic supplier engagement. This role reports to the Manager of IT Software within the Indirect Procurement organization onsite in Irvine, Palo Alto, Plymouth, or Normal. Responsibilities Demonstrated subject matter expertise sourcing and managing Software (on-prem & SaaS) sub-categories. Previous experience in Hardware, Telecom, and Professional Services is a plus. Demonstrated expertise in negotiating software licensing agreements (on-prem & SaaS) in accordance with industry standards. Work closely alongside stakeholders to meet their technical requirements, execute against set milestones and track sourcing progress. Deep understanding of the strategic sourcing (7-step) process and end-to-end Sourcing-to-Pay (S2P) best practices. Facilitate the strategic sourcing (7-step) process independently. Including prospective supplier identification, RFx execution, capability assessment, comprehensive bid analysis, contract negotiation and execution, etc. Ability to operate autonomously to support business stakeholders with new purchases, renewals, software evaluations and amendments against aggressive timelines. Ability to support internal stakeholders demonstrating a keen ability to drive detailed project plans while achieving cost savings. Conduct in-depth analysis of supplier quotations and historical spend data, leveraging detailed cost breakdowns to identify pricing trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for optimization. Proven experience in leading sourcing projects, developing and implementing sourcing strategies, managing RFx processes, and presenting recommendations, including award nominations and sourcing strategies, to senior leadership for approval. Qualifications Bachelor's degree 8+ years of relevant Information Technology (IT) related software licensing experience 8+ years of experience performing strategic sourcing, cost analysis, negotiations and contract negotiations in a indirect procurement environment Previous ERP systems and purchase order processing experience Coupa preferred Previous Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system experience Ironclad preferred Able to work independently with little instruction and can adapt to change Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to details and deadlines Able to work well with others in a team environment Effective communication skills and customer service approach Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Highly accurate and detail-oriented Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $98,500 - $123,100 for Michigan based applicants, $107,800 - $134,800 for Irvine, California based applicants, and $117,200 - $146,500 for Palo Alto, California based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
