You will use your knowledge of films, laminations, packaging applications in order to make recommendations based on technical and business needs. Trial work will be carried out and documented following a Product Development Stage Gate process. Under the direction of and reporting to the Product Development Manager, the Product Development Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in the areas of materials, process technologies, laminated structures, packaging and filling equipment and manufacturing capabilities. While this role does not have direct reports it is expected that the candidate will provide guidance and training to the Product Development Analyst and others in the areas of flexible packaging and lab techniques. Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science in Packaging Engineering Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.. 3= years of experience in flexible packaging production, quality control production or related field required. 3-5 years of project management experience. Experience with standard test methods and regulations (ASTM, GMPs, OTC, and FDA etc.) a plus
